Tasting notes
-
To the eye
Beautiful density, intense purple with shine.
-
On the nose
The more open nose with notes of blackcurrant, blackberry and fresh spices expresses itself earlier on aeration with notably more character on present, fresh and well-enveloped tannins.
-
In the mouth
The vanilla notes on the palate, along with its saline character, give the wine a lovely dynamic with length, richness in the middle and macerated black fruits (black cherry, blackcurrant) on the finish. A lovely balance, more accessible when young but with definite ageing potential.

CALICEM
CALICEM is born on a small, confidential plot of Merlot over 60 years old, cultivated like a garden. From these old vines emanate concentrated berries, aged for over 18 months in new barrels in the heart of the southwest amphitheater of the Saint-Émilion hill. CALICEM is distinguished by the great richness of its fruit, very silky tannins and a saline finish.
