Tasting notes
-
To the eye
Dense, deep with a purplish purple color.
-
On the nose
Complex nose of notes of crème de cassis, black cherry and fresh blueberry with fresh spices upon aeration.
-
In the mouth
Opulent, ample and smooth with saline notes in the mid-palate, well supported by a racy tannic structure while silky thanks to the very present acidity. Long, powerful finish and macerated black fruits at the end of the tasting.

CALICEM
CALICEM is born on a small, confidential plot of Merlot over 60 years old, cultivated like a garden. From these old vines emanate concentrated berries, aged for over 18 months in new barrels in the heart of the southwest amphitheater of the Saint-Émilion hill. CALICEM is distinguished by the great richness of its fruit, very silky tannins and a saline finish.
