Tasting notes
-
To the eye
Intensely purple density.
-
On the nose
The opulent nose of black fruits (blackberries, black cherries) exalts upon aeration in the glass with its bourbon vanilla side, its balsamic notes of cedar and old liquorice.
-
In the mouth
The smooth, saline mouthfeel charms the palate with sweetness and richness, subtly supported by notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and wild plum. A beautiful, long, lingering finish with notes of freshness.

CALICEM
CALICEM is born on a small, confidential plot of Merlot over 60 years old, cultivated like a garden. From these old vines emanate concentrated berries, aged for over 18 months in new barrels in the heart of the southwest amphitheater of the Saint-Émilion hill. CALICEM is distinguished by the great richness of its fruit, very silky tannins and a saline finish.
